Russell Smith is the singer and songwriter for the Grammy award-winning The Amazing Rhythm Aces.

In 1988, Epic Records signed him as a solo artist and the label released 2 CD’s: Sunday Best and This Little Town the following year. His highest-charting single, “I Wonder What She’s Doing Tonight,” peaked at No. 37 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in 1989. In 1993 Russell became the lead singer of the bluegrass novelty group Run C&W with two albums, both on MCA Records releases: Into The Twangy-First Century and Row vs. Wade. The End Is Not In Sight produced by Rick Hall’s new Muscle Shoals imprint 2002. Best Male Vocalist 2012 Just Plain Folks. Nominated for Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame 2016.
